Why did he do it? That is the question. • Why would Paul, a Pharisee, an expert in the Jewish religion leave the faith? Why would he leave behind a lofty position of authority, prestige, and wealth behind and replace it with a life of servitude, suffering, and hardship? How did this enemy of Christianity, who killed and imprisoned Christians become one of the greatest figures in church history? Why would he allow himself to be imprisoned for so many years? The answers to these questions are obvious: St. Paul was ready to die for something he saw with his own eyes. There is no other explanation. He lost everything because he knew the truth, that after he died, he would spend eternity in heaven. He was executed after living a life of pure hardship, including one instance where he was stoned to death. Paul’s faith in Jesus was unshakable. And St. Paul wasn’t the only one who did this. All but one apostles left behind their occupations and relatively peaceful lives to serve a God they had seen rise from the dead, and were subsequently executed in horrifically painful ways. Peter, a fisherman and a husband left behind his life and served God, and was crucified upside down because he KNEW Christ was real. There’s no other explanation for these people dying for Christ.

"Matriarch: Womban Made You" @mamamarigold for my #UneditedWomen series. Taken on a disposable camera, no editing. Shot on only disposable cameras, this series is about the women who refuse to be edited: being told what to do, told how to act, and being looked at as objects. No catcalling allowed. I could really use your help right now. I have finally decided to stop ignoring my soul, & to write a screenplay for this story that has been itching at my mind for 4 years now. Essentially, it’s a story about teenagers/young adults struggling, accepting, & celebrating their own identities. BUUTTT, I only have the perspective of a queer Hispanic woman, & this screenplay is all about diversity, which is where you come in. If you would like to help me out, then PLEASE email me at unnamedscreenplay@gmail.com w your answers to the following questions. Be as open as you’d like—no answer is too long, & your own life stories & feelings are encouraged. (Your writing will not be taken w/o credit) ✨ 1.How old are you & what race(s) are you? 2.What gender do you identify as? What gender were you assigned at birth? How have your answers affected you negatively & positively in life? 3.Would you say your skin color is light, medium, or dark? How has the color of your skin affected the way people see you? How has it affected the way you see yourself? 4.What is your religious background? What religion are your parents? What religion are you, if you have one? Have you ever felt belittled, bullied, or unsafe because of your answers to these questions? 5.What is your sexual preference? Do you choose to label your sexuality? How has your sexual identity affected your life, in negative & positive aspects? 6.Have you ever experienced prejudice (sexism, homophobia, racism, etc.) because of what you look like or how you identify? 7.How were you treated by teachers in elementary/middle/high school? How were you treated by peers in each stage of school? 8.Did you perform well in school? What did you like best & least? Did you have any hobbies, play sports, run for student council, etc.? 9.Do you find it difficult to have conversations about race/religion with people who are a different race/religion than you? If so, why do you think that is? If not, why do you think that is, & what advice would you give to someone who DOES find it difficult? Thank you so much for your help!!!!!

The diet industry is a billion dollar industry that promotes disordered eating, food and body shame. It keeps women and feminine bodied individuals oppressed and reinforces the idea that we are only valued for our body and smaller size as if our work, school and other accomplishments don’t matter. #shedaredto UNITE ................................. Week 2 In this series about daring women in America focuses on the formation of the National Women's Party to secure an amendment to the United States Constitution enfranchising women, giving them the right to vote. My image for 'unite' is a vintage styled photograph of these four lovely septuagenarians who celebrated their birthdays with a trip to the 1920s. In history two separate suffrage organizations had to set aside their differences and formally merge to get the support and have the influence they needed. They targeted Congress and the White House through sustained dramatic, nonviolent protest. The torment they faced through their four years of daily picketing, arrests, force feeding and abuse paid off in 1920 when the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution was approved, granting women the vote. Only by uniting across America were they able to create enough public support for suffrage. 💋 Support your sisters!
